The Environmental Justice Climate Change Initiative works to expand the global conversation on Climate Change by providing access for grassroots, youth and educational leaders from frontline communities in the United States to engage in international climate change negotiations. We have participated as official non-governmental organization observers to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change since the 6th Conference of the Parties (COP6) in 2000. Members of EJCC engage in various working groups and play a role within the Climate Justice Now network and the Climate Action Network. The EJCC also supports civil society events and works to build bridges between communities most impacted by climate change and environmental justice.
